Unanimous "Yes" on GOT TALENT and Expo performer!
The 9-year-old flamenco prodigy who stole the heart of Spain!
Profile
SUI :
A 9-year-old flamenco prodigy born in Yokohama with a deep love for the art. Born to Haruna Suzaku, a flamenco dancer and percussionist, SUI was immersed in flamenco rhythms even before she was born. She began dancing before the age of two, mimicking her mother. At three and a half, during the pandemic, she took online lessons from Ayaka Matsu and subsequently joined Studio Candela to study under her guidance. At age six, she also began studying flamenco singing (cante) under Yuka Imaeda.
Her journey to global recognition began at age six when a video of her dancing, posted on social media by the Jerez-based singer Ana de los Reyes, went viral. This led to a live appearance on Spanish television and her first trip to Spain that same year. There, she made history as the youngest artist ever to perform singing and dancing at Madrid’s Corral de la Morería, widely regarded as the world’s top tablao—a performance broadcast nationwide on Spanish TV.
In 2024, at age seven, she was featured on the front page of the major Spanish national newspaper El Mundo and was invited back to Spain to appear on the TV show Game of Talentos. In 2025, at age eight, she competed on Spain's Got Talent, earning a unanimous "Yes" from all the judges. Having visited Spain three times already, she also performed at the Spain Pavilion during the Osaka Expo, a historic moment broadcasted on Spain's Antena 3 network in 2026.
Currently a member of Studio Candela and LJ Studio, as well as the Asociación Japonesa de Flamenco (ANIF).
Haluna Suzaku :
A flamenco dancer and percussionist.
As a percussionist, she has participated in numerous performances and projects across a wide range of genres. In 2014, she performed with conductor Junichi Hirokami and the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in the Japanese premiere of Osvaldo Golijov’s Grammy-winning opera Ainadamar, presented by the Nissay Theatre. In 2023, she joined the nationwide Art Caravan tour of the Tomoko Ishii Spanish Dance Company.
As a flamenco dancer, she won the Incentivo Award (the highest honor) at the Flamenco Renaissance Competition in 2013. The following year, in 2014, she received the Flamenco Newcomer Award from the El Sur Foundation for her outstanding contributions to both flamenco dance and musical performance. In 2020, she performed as a soloist at the National Theatre during Yoko Komatsubara's company production.
In 2024, she founded and opened LunaJade Studio in Yokohama, where she teaches flamenco and percussion classes (Cajon, Congas, and Tongue Drum).
She is a Yamaha-certified Health Rhythms Facilitator and a radio host for the program Mi tesoro! on FM Komae (Komaraji), broadcasting every other Saturday from 9:00 to 9:55 AM.
